Japan bi u petak trebao uvesti izvanredno stanje do 31. kolovoza u trima prefekturama pored domaćina Olimpijskih igara Tokija i u zapadnoj prefekturi Osaki, zbog velikog porasta broja zaraženih covidom-19 koji je zasjenio Olimpijske igre.

Tokio je u petak objavio 3300 novih slučajeva zaraze, nakon rekordnih 3865 dan prije. Širenje zaraze počelo je opterećivati zdravstveni sustav, a 64 posto kreveta u tokijskim bolnicama namijenjenih ozbiljnim slučajevima covida-19 sredinom tjedna već je bilo popunjeno.

Postojeće izvanredno stanje u Tokiju, četvrto od početka pandemije, i na južnom otoku Okinawi također bi se trebalo produljiti do 31. kolovoza, rekao je ministar gospodarstva Yasutoshi Nishimura, zadužen za odgovor na pandemiju, koji je kasnije odobrio prijedlog.

Nishimura je rekao da porast slučajeva još nije dosegao vrhunac. "Situacija je iznimno teška", rekao je u parlamentu.

Očekuje se da će premijer Yoshihide Suga službeno najaviti proširenje izvanrednog stanja kasnije u petak.

Japan je izbjegao razornu epidemiju covida-19, ali se sada bori s obuzdavanjem visoko zarazne delta varijante, pri čemu je broj dnevnih slučajeva u cijeloj zemlji prvi put u četvrtak premašio 10.000 te iznosi 10.687 novih slučajeva.

Japan je nametnuo niz deklaracija o "izvanrednom stanju", ali upute su uglavnom dobrovoljne, za razliku od drugih zemalja koje nameću stroga zatvaranja.

POBUNA U BAROVIMA

Mnogi su ljudi umorni od zahtjeva za ostankom kod kuće, a neki barovi se odbijaju pridržavati ograničenja usluga. Japan kasni s uvođenjem cijepljenja.

Ministar zdravstva Norihisa Tamura rekao je da je zemlja ušla u novu "iznimno zastrašujuću" fazu jer broj slučajeva raste, iako se kretanje ljudi ne povećava, te da je delta varijanta veliki čimbenik.

"Mislim da ljudi ne mogu vidjeti unaprijed i, brinući se koliko će ova situacija trajati, smatraju da je nepodnošljivo što se ne mogu vratiti normalnom svakodnevnom životu", istaknuo je.

Porast broja slučajeva covida-19 loša je vijest za premijera Sugu, čija je stopa podrške već najniža od njegova stupanja na dužnost u rujnu prošle godine i koji se kasnije ove godine suočava s utrkom za vodstvo vladajuće stranke i općim izborima.

Suga i organizatori Olimpijskih igara zanijekali su bilo kakvu vezu između Ljetnih igara, koje se održavaju od 23. srpnja do 8. kolovoza, i najnovijeg oštrog skoka slučajeva.

Za razliku od dobrovoljnih ograničenja i niske stope cijepljenja drugdje u Japanu, olimpijsko selo u Tokiju za sportaše i trenere može se pohvaliti s više od 80 posto cijepljenja, testiranje je obvezno, a kretanje je strogo ograničeno.

Sportaši i drugi sudionici iz cijelog svijeta moraju se pridržavati strogih pravila kako bi spriječili širenje virusa unutar Olimpijskog kruga ili šireg grada. Gledateljima je zabranjen pristup većini mjesta.

Japan bi u petak trebao uvesti izvanredno stanje do 31. kolovoza u trima prefekturama pored domaćina Olimpijskih igara Tokija i u zapadnoj prefekturi Osaki, zbog velikog porasta broja zaraženih covidom-19 koji je zasjenio Olimpijske igre.

Tokio je u petak objavio 3300 novih slučajeva zaraze, nakon rekordnih 3865 dan prije. Širenje zaraze počelo je opterećivati zdravstveni sustav, a 64 posto kreveta u tokijskim bolnicama namijenjenih ozbiljnim slučajevima covida-19 sredinom tjedna već je bilo popunjeno.

Postojeće izvanredno stanje u Tokiju, četvrto od početka pandemije, i na južnom otoku Okinawi također bi se trebalo produljiti do 31. kolovoza, rekao je ministar gospodarstva Yasutoshi Nishimura, zadužen za odgovor na pandemiju, koji je kasnije odobrio prijedlog.

Nishimura je rekao da porast slučajeva još nije dosegao vrhunac. "Situacija je iznimno teška", rekao je u parlamentu.

Očekuje se da će premijer Yoshihide Suga službeno najaviti proširenje izvanrednog stanja kasnije u petak.

Japan je izbjegao razornu epidemiju covida-19, ali se sada bori s obuzdavanjem visoko zarazne delta varijante, pri čemu je broj dnevnih slučajeva u cijeloj zemlji prvi put u četvrtak premašio 10.000 te iznosi 10.687 novih slučajeva.

Japan je nametnuo niz deklaracija o "izvanrednom stanju", ali upute su uglavnom dobrovoljne, za razliku od drugih zemalja koje nameću stroga zatvaranja.

POBUNA U BAROVIMA

Mnogi su ljudi umorni od zahtjeva za ostankom kod kuće, a neki barovi se odbijaju pridržavati ograničenja usluga. Japan kasni s uvođenjem cijepljenja.

Ministar zdravstva Norihisa Tamura rekao je da je zemlja ušla u novu "iznimno zastrašujuću" fazu jer broj slučajeva raste, iako se kretanje ljudi ne povećava, te da je delta varijanta veliki čimbenik.

"Mislim da ljudi ne mogu vidjeti unaprijed i, brinući se koliko će ova situacija trajati, smatraju da je nepodnošljivo što se ne mogu vratiti normalnom svakodnevnom životu", istaknuo je.

Porast broja slučajeva covida-19 loša je vijest za premijera Sugu, čija je stopa podrške već najniža od njegova stupanja na dužnost u rujnu prošle godine i koji se kasnije ove godine suočava s utrkom za vodstvo vladajuće stranke i općim izborima.

Suga i organizatori Olimpijskih igara zanijekali su bilo kakvu vezu između Ljetnih igara, koje se održavaju od 23. srpnja do 8. kolovoza, i najnovijeg oštrog skoka slučajeva.

Za razliku od dobrovoljnih ograničenja i niske stope cijepljenja drugdje u Japanu, olimpijsko selo u Tokiju za sportaše i trenere može se pohvaliti s više od 80 posto cijepljenja, testiranje je obvezno, a kretanje je strogo ograničeno.

Sportaši i drugi sudionici iz cijelog svijeta moraju se pridržavati strogih pravila kako bi spriječili širenje virusa unutar Olimpijskog kruga ili šireg grada. Gledateljima je zabranjen pristup većini mjesta.
