Ferdinand Marcos mlađi, sin pokojnog diktatora istog imena, u utorak je nadmoćno pobijedio na predsjedničkim izborima na Filipinima i tako ponovno doveo obiteljski klan na vrh vlasti, 36 godina nakon narodne pobune u kojoj je bio svrgnut.
Rezultati nakon prebrojavanja glasova s više od 90 posto biračkih mjesta pokazuju da Marcos mlađi, poznat kao "Bongbong", dobiva gotovo 30 milijuna glasova, što je dvostruko više od njegove protukandidatkinje, dopredsjednice na odlasku Leni Robredo i takvu je prednost nemoguće sustići.
Za pobjedu na ovom izborima koji imaju samo jedan krug, dovoljno je da jedan od deset kandidata koji su se natjecali dobije najviše glasova.
U obraćanju iz izbornog stožera u Manili u utorak rano ujutro, Bongbong (64) nije proglasio pobjedu, nego je samo zahvalio pristašama na višemjesečnoj "požrtvovnosti i na radu". "Pričekajmo da sve bude jasno, da se prebroje svi glasovi i onda ćemo moći proslaviti", rekao je.
U glavnom gradu njegovi su pristaše u oduševljenju ispaljivali vatromet i trčali ulicama noseći filipinske zastave.
Oko 67 milijuna Filipinaca imalo je pravo glasa na ovim općim izborima na kojima su se još birali potpredsjednik, zastupnici, polovina senatora, guverneri pokrajina i tisuće lokalnih predstavnika.
Slavodobitna pobjeda Marcosa mlađeg događa se nakon izborne kampanje koju je obilježio val dezinformacija i neupitna potpora autoritarnog predsjednika na odlasku Rodriga Dutertea, koji uživa veliku popularnost.
Vlada Ferdinanda Marcosa starijeg srušena je 1986. u velikoj narodnoj pobuni, a obitelj Marcos je pobjegla iz zemlje u Sjedinjene Države, da bi nakon povratka postupno obnovila moćnu mrežu političke potpore.
Gotovo pola stoljeća nakon pada Marcosi se vraćaju u predsjedničku palaču u Manili, odakle je Bongbong obećao da će ponovo uspostaviti "jedinstvo" zemlje u svom šestogodišnjem mandatu.
"Ovo su povijesni izbori", komentirao je Cleve Arguelles, profesor političkih znanosti na sveučilištu La Salle u Manili.
Kampanja Marcosa mlađeg bila je zapravo bezbojna, teško je uspijevala oduševiti pristaše i nije privukla je toliko mnoštvo kao njegova protukandidatkinja Leni Robredo.
No iskoristio je veliko nezadovoljstvo Filipinaca demokratskim vladama koje su se smjenjivale nakon kraja diktature, nesposobne da poprave njihov životni standard.
Svoju pobjedu ponajprije duguje nizu zakulisnih pregovora s drugim političkim klanovima, napose savezu sa Sarah Duterte, kćeri predsjednika na odlasku. I ona je u velikom vodstvu na izborima za potpredsjednika koji su se istodobno održavali.
Leni Robredo, 57-godišnja odvjetnica i ekonomistica koja je u predizbornoj utrci obećala da će osloboditi zemlju korupcije i dominacije političkih dinastija, izrazila je "veliko razočaranje" rezultatom.
"Ništa nije izgubljeno, još se držimo", rekla je u televizijskom obraćanju, najavivši nastavak borbe protiv Marcosovih nakon službene potvrde rezultata koja se očekuje za nekoliko tjedana. "Ovo je tek početak", poručila je.
Izbore je obilježilo nasilje, što nije rijetkost na filipinskim izborima. Najmanje su četiri osobe ubijene u napadima na birališta diljem zemlje. U nedjelju navečer, u eksploziji bombe ispred birališta ranjeno je najmanje devetero ljudi.

Ferdinand Marcos mlađi, sin pokojnog diktatora istog imena, u utorak je nadmoćno pobijedio na predsjedničkim izborima na Filipinima i tako ponovno doveo obiteljski klan na vrh vlasti, 36 godina nakon narodne pobune u kojoj je bio svrgnut.
Rezultati nakon prebrojavanja glasova s više od 90 posto biračkih mjesta pokazuju da Marcos mlađi, poznat kao "Bongbong", dobiva gotovo 30 milijuna glasova, što je dvostruko više od njegove protukandidatkinje, dopredsjednice na odlasku Leni Robredo i takvu je prednost nemoguće sustići.
Za pobjedu na ovom izborima koji imaju samo jedan krug, dovoljno je da jedan od deset kandidata koji su se natjecali dobije najviše glasova.
U obraćanju iz izbornog stožera u Manili u utorak rano ujutro, Bongbong (64) nije proglasio pobjedu, nego je samo zahvalio pristašama na višemjesečnoj "požrtvovnosti i na radu". "Pričekajmo da sve bude jasno, da se prebroje svi glasovi i onda ćemo moći proslaviti", rekao je.
U glavnom gradu njegovi su pristaše u oduševljenju ispaljivali vatromet i trčali ulicama noseći filipinske zastave.
Oko 67 milijuna Filipinaca imalo je pravo glasa na ovim općim izborima na kojima su se još birali potpredsjednik, zastupnici, polovina senatora, guverneri pokrajina i tisuće lokalnih predstavnika.
Slavodobitna pobjeda Marcosa mlađeg događa se nakon izborne kampanje koju je obilježio val dezinformacija i neupitna potpora autoritarnog predsjednika na odlasku Rodriga Dutertea, koji uživa veliku popularnost.
Vlada Ferdinanda Marcosa starijeg srušena je 1986. u velikoj narodnoj pobuni, a obitelj Marcos je pobjegla iz zemlje u Sjedinjene Države, da bi nakon povratka postupno obnovila moćnu mrežu političke potpore.
Gotovo pola stoljeća nakon pada Marcosi se vraćaju u predsjedničku palaču u Manili, odakle je Bongbong obećao da će ponovo uspostaviti "jedinstvo" zemlje u svom šestogodišnjem mandatu.
"Ovo su povijesni izbori", komentirao je Cleve Arguelles, profesor političkih znanosti na sveučilištu La Salle u Manili.
Kampanja Marcosa mlađeg bila je zapravo bezbojna, teško je uspijevala oduševiti pristaše i nije privukla je toliko mnoštvo kao njegova protukandidatkinja Leni Robredo.
No iskoristio je veliko nezadovoljstvo Filipinaca demokratskim vladama koje su se smjenjivale nakon kraja diktature, nesposobne da poprave njihov životni standard.
Svoju pobjedu ponajprije duguje nizu zakulisnih pregovora s drugim političkim klanovima, napose savezu sa Sarah Duterte, kćeri predsjednika na odlasku. I ona je u velikom vodstvu na izborima za potpredsjednika koji su se istodobno održavali.
Leni Robredo, 57-godišnja odvjetnica i ekonomistica koja je u predizbornoj utrci obećala da će osloboditi zemlju korupcije i dominacije političkih dinastija, izrazila je "veliko razočaranje" rezultatom.
"Ništa nije izgubljeno, još se držimo", rekla je u televizijskom obraćanju, najavivši nastavak borbe protiv Marcosovih nakon službene potvrde rezultata koja se očekuje za nekoliko tjedana. "Ovo je tek početak", poručila je.
Izbore je obilježilo nasilje, što nije rijetkost na filipinskim izborima. Najmanje su četiri osobe ubijene u napadima na birališta diljem zemlje. U nedjelju navečer, u eksploziji bombe ispred birališta ranjeno je najmanje devetero ljudi.
