Američki predsjednik Joe Biden u petak je odobrio do 100 milijuna dolara iz hitnog fonda za zadovoljenje "neočekivanih hitnih" potreba izbjeglica koje proizlaze iz situacije u Afganistanu, uključujući i afganistanske podnositelje zahtjeva za imigracijsku vizu, priopćila je Bijela kuća.

Biden je također odobrio puštanje 200 milijuna dolara usluga i članaka iz zaliha vladine agencije za iste potrebe, rekli su iz Bijele kuće.

SAD se sprema početi evakuaciju tisuća afganistanskih podnositelja zahtjeva za posebne imigracijske vize (SIV) koji riskiraju odmazdu od talibanskih pobunjenika jer su radili za vladu SAD-a.

Očekuje se da će prva skupina evakuiranih osoba i njihovih obitelji biti prebačena prije kraja mjeseca u Fort Lee, američku vojnu bazu u Virginiji, gdje će čekati konačnu obradu zahtjeva za vizu.

Administracija Bidena preispituje i druge objekte u SAD-u i prekomorskim zemljama u koje bi mogli smjestiti podnositelje zahtjeva za SIV i njihove obitelji.

Afganistancima koji su radili kao prevoditelji ili na drugim poslovima za SAD dostupne su posebne imigrantske vize vlada nakon invazije pod vodstvom SAD-a 2001.

U četvrtak je Zastupnički dom usvojio zakon koji će proširiti broj SIV-ova, koji se mogu odobriti za 8000, što bi pokrivalo sve potencijalno prihvatljive prijave u pripremi.

Obrađuje se oko 18.000 takvih zahtjeva, kazali su dužnosnici SAD-a.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden u petak je odobrio do 100 milijuna dolara iz hitnog fonda za zadovoljenje "neočekivanih hitnih" potreba izbjeglica koje proizlaze iz situacije u Afganistanu, uključujući i afganistanske podnositelje zahtjeva za imigracijsku vizu, priopćila je Bijela kuća.

Biden je također odobrio puštanje 200 milijuna dolara usluga i članaka iz zaliha vladine agencije za iste potrebe, rekli su iz Bijele kuće.

SAD se sprema početi evakuaciju tisuća afganistanskih podnositelja zahtjeva za posebne imigracijske vize (SIV) koji riskiraju odmazdu od talibanskih pobunjenika jer su radili za vladu SAD-a.

Očekuje se da će prva skupina evakuiranih osoba i njihovih obitelji biti prebačena prije kraja mjeseca u Fort Lee, američku vojnu bazu u Virginiji, gdje će čekati konačnu obradu zahtjeva za vizu.

Administracija Bidena preispituje i druge objekte u SAD-u i prekomorskim zemljama u koje bi mogli smjestiti podnositelje zahtjeva za SIV i njihove obitelji.

Afganistancima koji su radili kao prevoditelji ili na drugim poslovima za SAD dostupne su posebne imigrantske vize vlada nakon invazije pod vodstvom SAD-a 2001.

U četvrtak je Zastupnički dom usvojio zakon koji će proširiti broj SIV-ova, koji se mogu odobriti za 8000, što bi pokrivalo sve potencijalno prihvatljive prijave u pripremi.

Obrađuje se oko 18.000 takvih zahtjeva, kazali su dužnosnici SAD-a.

Afganistanci bježe u SAD, Biden odobrio 100 milijuna dolara pomoći iz hitnog fonda

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden u petak je odobrio do 100 milijuna dolara iz hitnog fonda za zadovoljenje "neočekivanih hitnih" potreba izbjeglica koje proizlaze iz situacije u Afganistanu, uključujući i afganistanske podnositelje zahtjeva za imigracijsku vizu, priopćila je Bijela kuća.

Biden je također odobrio puštanje 200 milijuna dolara usluga i članaka iz zaliha vladine agencije za iste potrebe, rekli su iz Bijele kuće.

SAD se sprema početi evakuaciju tisuća afganistanskih podnositelja zahtjeva za posebne imigracijske vize (SIV) koji riskiraju odmazdu od talibanskih pobunjenika jer su radili za vladu SAD-a.

Očekuje se da će prva skupina evakuiranih osoba i njihovih obitelji biti prebačena prije kraja mjeseca u Fort Lee, američku vojnu bazu u Virginiji, gdje će čekati konačnu...
