Atletska staza na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu bit će jedinstvena ljubičasta, objavila je talijanska tvrtka Mondo koja dorađuje završni pokrov koji će sljedeći mjesec biti postavljen na Stade de France.

Francuz Kevin Mayer, Šveđanin Armand Duplantis, Amerikanac Sha‘Carri Richardson i druge atletske zvijezde vjerojatno ne poznaju Albu, miran gradić u sjevernoj Italiji, okružen vinogradima iz kojih se proizvodi čuveni Barolo. Tu je sjedište Monda, obiteljskog poduzeća koje je postalo svjetska referenca u sportskim podlogama i opremi, posebice u atletici.

- Naša olimpijska povijest započela je 1976. u Montrealu, a u Parizu će to biti naše 13. Olimpijske igre - kazao je Maurizio Stroppiana, potpredsjednik sportskog odjela Monda i sin jednog od dvojice osnivača.

Iza njega, u dugoj i impozantnoj proizvodnoj liniji, tehničari nadziru proizvodnju Mondotracka EB, najnovije podloge, koja će od 1. do 11. kolovoza biti staza za 46 od ukupno 48 atletskih događaja Olimpijskih igara 2024., budući da se maratoni odvijaju na cesti u krugu između Pariza i Versaillesa.

Umjesto oker boje, ili terakote u žargonu proizvođača opreme, koja se tradicionalno koristi za atletska natjecanja, pariški organizatori odlučili su se za ljubičastu boju, nezabilježenu u povijesti Olimpijskih igara.

- Pariška ljubičasta boja koristit će se samo za ove Igre - kazao je Andrea Marenghi, voditelj istraživanja i razvoja, čiji su se timovi mučili na desecima uzoraka kako bi pronašli "prave nijanse".

Naime, bit će dvije ljubičaste boje, jedna za natjecateljska područja (staza, skokovi, bacališta), druga tamnija za takozvana tehnička područja, a na kraju će biti upotpunjena sivom bojom, u počast Igrama koje su se 1924. godine održale u Parizu.

- Želja nam je bila imati originalnu boju. Ove dvije nijanse ljubičaste omogućuju nam maksimalne kontraste pri snimanju TV slika kako bismo istaknuli sportaše. Naš je pristup zapravo da su sportaši u prvom planu.

Dok je buduća pariška staza površine 21.000 m2, što uključuje i stadion za zagrijavanje i trening, upakirana u impozantne role širine 1.50 metara koji će biti otpremljeni u Pariz, Giorgio Lesage detaljno opisuje sastav staze, izrađene od prirodne gume, sintetička guma, mineralni spojevi, pigmenti i aditivi.

- Do 50 posto sastojaka je reciklirano ili obnovljivo, što nam omogućuje uštedu materijala fosilnog podrijetla. Bili smo na nešto više od 30 posto za London 2012. - napominje menadžer za održivost i inovacije grupe.

No čak i više od ljubičastog vrha i više "zelenog" iznutra, donja strana pariške staze, čija se cijena drži u tajnosti, mogla bi biti orijentir.

- U usporedbi sa stazom u Tokiju, promijenili smo dizajn ćelija donjeg sloja staze, koji se oslanja na asfalt. To smanjuje gubitak energije za sportaša, pa bi staza Stade de Francea mogla bi biti još brža od one u Tokiju gdje su 2021. oborena tri svjetska rekorda uključujući i onaj u ženskoj utrci na 400 metara s preponama Amerikanke Sydney McLaughlin.

Atletska staza na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu bit će jedinstvena ljubičasta, objavila je talijanska tvrtka Mondo koja dorađuje završni pokrov koji će sljedeći mjesec biti postavljen na Stade de France.

Francuz Kevin Mayer, Šveđanin Armand Duplantis, Amerikanac Sha‘Carri Richardson i druge atletske zvijezde vjerojatno ne poznaju Albu, miran gradić u sjevernoj Italiji, okružen vinogradima iz kojih se proizvodi čuveni Barolo. Tu je sjedište Monda, obiteljskog poduzeća koje je postalo svjetska referenca u sportskim podlogama i opremi, posebice u atletici.

- Naša olimpijska povijest započela je 1976. u Montrealu, a u Parizu će to biti naše 13. Olimpijske igre - kazao je Maurizio Stroppiana, potpredsjednik sportskog odjela Monda i sin jednog od dvojice osnivača.

Iza njega, u dugoj i impozantnoj proizvodnoj liniji, tehničari nadziru proizvodnju Mondotracka EB, najnovije podloge, koja će od 1. do 11. kolovoza biti staza za 46 od ukupno 48 atletskih događaja Olimpijskih igara 2024., budući da se maratoni odvijaju na cesti u krugu između Pariza i Versaillesa.

Umjesto oker boje, ili terakote u žargonu proizvođača opreme, koja se tradicionalno koristi za atletska natjecanja, pariški organizatori odlučili su se za ljubičastu boju, nezabilježenu u povijesti Olimpijskih igara.

- Pariška ljubičasta boja koristit će se samo za ove Igre - kazao je Andrea Marenghi, voditelj istraživanja i razvoja, čiji su se timovi mučili na desecima uzoraka kako bi pronašli "prave nijanse".

Naime, bit će dvije ljubičaste boje, jedna za natjecateljska područja (staza, skokovi, bacališta), druga tamnija za takozvana tehnička područja, a na kraju će biti upotpunjena sivom bojom, u počast Igrama koje su se 1924. godine održale u Parizu.

- Želja nam je bila imati originalnu boju. Ove dvije nijanse ljubičaste omogućuju nam maksimalne kontraste pri snimanju TV slika kako bismo istaknuli sportaše. Naš je pristup zapravo da su sportaši u prvom planu.

Dok je buduća pariška staza površine 21.000 m2, što uključuje i stadion za zagrijavanje i trening, upakirana u impozantne role širine 1.50 metara koji će biti otpremljeni u Pariz, Giorgio Lesage detaljno opisuje sastav staze, izrađene od prirodne gume, sintetička guma, mineralni spojevi, pigmenti i aditivi.

- Do 50 posto sastojaka je reciklirano ili obnovljivo, što nam omogućuje uštedu materijala fosilnog podrijetla. Bili smo na nešto više od 30 posto za London 2012. - napominje menadžer za održivost i inovacije grupe.

No čak i više od ljubičastog vrha i više "zelenog" iznutra, donja strana pariške staze, čija se cijena drži u tajnosti, mogla bi biti orijentir.

- U usporedbi sa stazom u Tokiju, promijenili smo dizajn ćelija donjeg sloja staze, koji se oslanja na asfalt. To smanjuje gubitak energije za sportaša, pa bi staza Stade de Francea mogla bi biti još brža od one u Tokiju gdje su 2021. oborena tri svjetska rekorda uključujući i onaj u ženskoj utrci na 400 metara s preponama Amerikanke Sydney McLaughlin.
