Liječnica s odjela intenzivnog liječenja bolnice na Long Islandu primila je hitan poziv od kolega. Zamolili su ju da brzo dođe na odjel kako bi vidjela treba li muškarca u 40-im godinama zaraženog koronavirusom staviti na respirator.

Prije nego što je stigla onamo, Dr. Mangala Narasimhan je rekla kolegama da pacijenta okrenu na trbuh.

I to je upalilo. Liječnici su otkrili da postavljanje pacijenata koji boluju od teškog oblika koronavirusa na trbuh pomaže povećati količinu kisika koja pacijentima dolazi do pluća, prenosi Jutarnji.

"Na taj način spašavamo živote. To je tako jednostavna stvar, a vidjeli smo nevjerojatan napredak kod pacijenata. Primijetili smo napredak kod svakog pacijenta kojeg smo tako pozicionirali.

Jednom kad vidite da to funkcionira, radite to opet, i vidite da zbilja odmah pomaže!", dodala je Dr. Kathryn Hibbert, direktorica odjela za intenzivno liječenje u bolnici u Massachussetsu za CNN.

Pacijenti koji boluju od koronavirusa često umru od sindroma akutnog respiratornog poremećaja. Taj sindrom često ubija i pacijente s upalom pluća, gripom i nekim drugim bolestima.

Francuzi dokazali, Amerikanci primijenili

Prije sedam godina, francuski su liječnici objavili članak u časopisu New England Journal od Medicine, u kojem su otkrili da pacijenti s tim sindromom, koji su na respiratoru, manje umiru ako ih u bolnicama pozicioniraju na trbuh.

Od tada liječnici u SAD-u pacijente na respiratorima pozicioniraju na trbuh umjesto na leđa, a sada su to počeli činiti i s pacijentima koji boluju od koronavirusa.

Kad je pacijent iz bolnice na Long Islandu stavljen u tu poziciju, njegova zasićenost kisikom u krvi rapidno je porasla s 85% na 98%.

Pacijenti na respiratoru obično oko 16 sati na dan provedu ležeći na trbuhu, a ostalo vrijeme leže na leđima kako bi im liječnici mogli dati potrebnu terapiju.

Kisik lakše prolazi

Stručnjaci tvrde da položaj na trbuhu omogućuje kisiku da lakše dođe do pluća. Kada pacijent leži na leđima, težina tijela stišće neke dijelove pluća.

'Kada ih postavimo na trbuh, otvori se dio pluća koji je u položaju na leđima bio zatvoren pa kisik lakše dolazi do pluća', kaže Hibbert.

Ipak, postavljanje pacijenata na respiratoru na trbuh ima i svoje loše strane.

Naime, pacijent na respiratoru mora biti sediran, a kada je u položaju na trbuhu, treba mu više sedativa, što znači i duži ostanak na odjelu intenzivnog liječenja.

O korisnosti ležanja na trbuhu tijekom liječenja respiratornih tegoba govorio je i liječnik iz londonske bolnice Queen Hospital, čiji je video na svom Twitter profilu prije deset dana podijelila slavna spisateljica J.K. Rowling.

Liječnica s odjela intenzivnog liječenja bolnice na Long Islandu primila je hitan poziv od kolega. Zamolili su ju da brzo dođe na odjel kako bi vidjela treba li muškarca u 40-im godinama zaraženog koronavirusom staviti na respirator.

Prije nego što je stigla onamo, Dr. Mangala Narasimhan je rekla kolegama da pacijenta okrenu na trbuh.

I to je upalilo. Liječnici su otkrili da postavljanje pacijenata koji boluju od teškog oblika koronavirusa na trbuh pomaže povećati količinu kisika koja pacijentima dolazi do pluća, prenosi Jutarnji.

"Na taj način spašavamo živote. To je tako jednostavna stvar, a vidjeli smo nevjerojatan napredak kod pacijenata. Primijetili smo napredak kod svakog pacijenta kojeg smo tako pozicionirali.

Jednom kad vidite da to funkcionira, radite to opet, i vidite da zbilja odmah pomaže!", dodala je Dr. Kathryn Hibbert, direktorica odjela za intenzivno liječenje u bolnici u Massachussetsu za CNN.

Pacijenti koji boluju od koronavirusa često umru od sindroma akutnog respiratornog poremećaja. Taj sindrom često ubija i pacijente s upalom pluća, gripom i nekim drugim bolestima.

Francuzi dokazali, Amerikanci primijenili

Prije sedam godina, francuski su liječnici objavili članak u časopisu New England Journal od Medicine, u kojem su otkrili da pacijenti s tim sindromom, koji su na respiratoru, manje umiru ako ih u bolnicama pozicioniraju na trbuh.

Od tada liječnici u SAD-u pacijente na respiratorima pozicioniraju na trbuh umjesto na leđa, a sada su to počeli činiti i s pacijentima koji boluju od koronavirusa.

Kad je pacijent iz bolnice na Long Islandu stavljen u tu poziciju, njegova zasićenost kisikom u krvi rapidno je porasla s 85% na 98%.

Pacijenti na respiratoru obično oko 16 sati na dan provedu ležeći na trbuhu, a ostalo vrijeme leže na leđima kako bi im liječnici mogli dati potrebnu terapiju.

Kisik lakše prolazi

Stručnjaci tvrde da položaj na trbuhu omogućuje kisiku da lakše dođe do pluća. Kada pacijent leži na leđima, težina tijela stišće neke dijelove pluća.

'Kada ih postavimo na trbuh, otvori se dio pluća koji je u položaju na leđima bio zatvoren pa kisik lakše dolazi do pluća', kaže Hibbert.

Ipak, postavljanje pacijenata na respiratoru na trbuh ima i svoje loše strane.

Naime, pacijent na respiratoru mora biti sediran, a kada je u položaju na trbuhu, treba mu više sedativa, što znači i duži ostanak na odjelu intenzivnog liječenja.

O korisnosti ležanja na trbuhu tijekom liječenja respiratornih tegoba govorio je i liječnik iz londonske bolnice Queen Hospital, čiji je video na svom Twitter profilu prije deset dana podijelila slavna spisateljica J.K. Rowling.

Za oboljelog od Covid-19, prije respiratora, liječnica je zatražila ključnu stvar! ‘Spašavamo živote, a tako je jednostavno!‘, svjedočila je za CNN

Liječnica s odjela intenzivnog liječenja bolnice na Long Islandu primila je hitan poziv od kolega. Zamolili su ju da brzo dođe na odjel kako bi vidjela treba li muškarca u 40-im godinama zaraženog koronavirusom staviti na respirator.

Prije nego što je stigla onamo, Dr. Mangala Narasimhan je rekla kolegama da pacijenta okrenu na trbuh.

I to je upalilo. Liječnici su otkrili da postavljanje pacijenata koji boluju od teškog oblika koronavirusa na trbuh pomaže povećati količinu kisika koja pacijentima dolazi do pluća, prenosi Jutarnji.

"Na taj način spašavamo živote. To je tako jednostavna stvar, a vidjeli smo nevjerojatan napredak kod pacijenata. Primijetili smo napredak kod svakog pacijenta kojeg smo tako pozicionirali.
