Eutanazija kao prihvatljivi oblik potpomognutog samoubojstva, ma koliko se činilo nenormalno, sve je popularniji oblik svojevrsnog oslobađanja od bremena života.

O tome zorno svjedoči slučaj Nizozemke Zoraye Ter Beek, tjelesno zdrave 28-godišnjakinje, koja je nakon ozbiljne analize svoj život prožet patnjom odlučila okončati u svibnju ove godine. Obavit će taj čin "oslobađanja" na kauču, a pored nje bit će njezin 40-godišnji dečko.

Zoraya je odlučila umrijeti nakon što joj je psihijatar rekao "više ništa ne možemo učiniti za tebe" i "nikada neće biti bolje", piše The Free Press.

Naime, djevojka boluje od depresije i autizma te graničnog poremećaja osobnosti, a čini se da je mogućnost popravka te mentalne slike isključena.

Liječnik će joj stoga dati sedativ prije primjene lijeka koji će joj zaustaviti srce. Eutanazija je legalna u Nizozemskoj od 2001. za one koji doživljavaju "nepodnošljivu patnju bez izgleda za poboljšanje".

Nakon smrti djevojke, Povjerenstvo za reviziju eutanazije procijenit će po zadanom protokolu njezin slučaj kako bi osiguralo da se liječnik pridržavao svih "kriterija dužne skrbi" i ako je tako, nizozemska vlada proglasit će njezin život zakonito okončanim.

Odlučila je da neće biti sprovoda i da će biti kremirana, a njezin 40-godišnji dečko će, prema dogovoru, prosuti Zorayin pepeo na "lijepom mjestu u šumi" koje su zajedno odabrali.

- Malo se bojim umiranja jer je to krajnja nepoznanica. Zapravo, ne znamo što je sljedeće; ili nema ničega? To je strašni dio – povjerila je uoči "oslobađanja od života", koje će obaviti opušteno, bez glazbe.

Nakon što zauzme svoje mjesto na kauču, liječnik će još jednom pitati želi li nastaviti s eutanazijom, prije nego što započne postupak i poželi joj "sretan put".

Ili, u Zorayinu slučaju, "lijepo odspavaj".

- Mrzim kad ljudi kažu ‘"sretan put". Ne idem nigdje - rekla je, uskoro vjerojatno pokojna Ter Beek.

Ona je tek jedna od mnogih koji su donijeli istu odluku. Naime, sve je više osoba diljem Zapada koje radije odlučuju okončati svoj život nego živjeti u boli. Boli koja se, ipak, u mnogim slučajevima može liječiti.

Nova populacija onih koji žele umrijeti putem eutanazije kao potpomognutog samoubojstva ne pati – kako obično ljudi misle - od neizlječivih tjelesnih bolesti ili oštećenja, nego od duševnih bolesti kojima, dakako, ne pogoduje ni ekonomska situacija u društvu, socijalno iritantne društvene mreže i općeprisutno beznađe. Strah i razočaranje mogu biti pogubni, kad se natalože.

Stef Groenewoud, zdravstveni etičar na Teološkom sveučilištu Kampen u Nizozemskoj je rekao da "eutanaziju prepoznaje kao neku vrstu prihvatljive opcije koju su na stol iznijeli liječnici, psihijatri, dok je ranije bila krajnja posljednja opcija". Dodao je da rečenu opciju, fenomen eutanazije, uočava kod ljudi s psihičkim bolestima, a posebno kod mladih ljudi s psihijatrijskim poremećajima, gdje zdravstveni djelatnici, čini se, lakše odustaju od njih nego prije, smatra.

Prije 23 godine - godine 2001. naime - Nizozemska je postala prva zemlja u svijetu koja je legalizirala eutanaziju. Od tada je broj ljudi koji sve češće odlučuju umrijeti u zapanjujućem porastu.

Eutanazija kao prihvatljivi oblik potpomognutog samoubojstva, ma koliko se činilo nenormalno, sve je popularniji oblik svojevrsnog oslobađanja od bremena života.

O tome zorno svjedoči slučaj Nizozemke Zoraye Ter Beek, tjelesno zdrave 28-godišnjakinje, koja je nakon ozbiljne analize svoj život prožet patnjom odlučila okončati u svibnju ove godine. Obavit će taj čin "oslobađanja" na kauču, a pored nje bit će njezin 40-godišnji dečko.

Zoraya je odlučila umrijeti nakon što joj je psihijatar rekao "više ništa ne možemo učiniti za tebe" i "nikada neće biti bolje", piše The Free Press.

Naime, djevojka boluje od depresije i autizma te graničnog poremećaja osobnosti, a čini se da je mogućnost popravka te mentalne slike isključena.

Liječnik će joj stoga dati sedativ prije primjene lijeka koji će joj zaustaviti srce. Eutanazija je legalna u Nizozemskoj od 2001. za one koji doživljavaju "nepodnošljivu patnju bez izgleda za poboljšanje".

Nakon smrti djevojke, Povjerenstvo za reviziju eutanazije procijenit će po zadanom protokolu njezin slučaj kako bi osiguralo da se liječnik pridržavao svih "kriterija dužne skrbi" i ako je tako, nizozemska vlada proglasit će njezin život zakonito okončanim.

Odlučila je da neće biti sprovoda i da će biti kremirana, a njezin 40-godišnji dečko će, prema dogovoru, prosuti Zorayin pepeo na "lijepom mjestu u šumi" koje su zajedno odabrali.

- Malo se bojim umiranja jer je to krajnja nepoznanica. Zapravo, ne znamo što je sljedeće; ili nema ničega? To je strašni dio – povjerila je uoči "oslobađanja od života", koje će obaviti opušteno, bez glazbe.

Nakon što zauzme svoje mjesto na kauču, liječnik će još jednom pitati želi li nastaviti s eutanazijom, prije nego što započne postupak i poželi joj "sretan put".

Ili, u Zorayinu slučaju, "lijepo odspavaj".

- Mrzim kad ljudi kažu ‘"sretan put". Ne idem nigdje - rekla je, uskoro vjerojatno pokojna Ter Beek.

Ona je tek jedna od mnogih koji su donijeli istu odluku. Naime, sve je više osoba diljem Zapada koje radije odlučuju okončati svoj život nego živjeti u boli. Boli koja se, ipak, u mnogim slučajevima može liječiti.

Nova populacija onih koji žele umrijeti putem eutanazije kao potpomognutog samoubojstva ne pati – kako obično ljudi misle - od neizlječivih tjelesnih bolesti ili oštećenja, nego od duševnih bolesti kojima, dakako, ne pogoduje ni ekonomska situacija u društvu, socijalno iritantne društvene mreže i općeprisutno beznađe. Strah i razočaranje mogu biti pogubni, kad se natalože.

Stef Groenewoud, zdravstveni etičar na Teološkom sveučilištu Kampen u Nizozemskoj je rekao da "eutanaziju prepoznaje kao neku vrstu prihvatljive opcije koju su na stol iznijeli liječnici, psihijatri, dok je ranije bila krajnja posljednja opcija". Dodao je da rečenu opciju, fenomen eutanazije, uočava kod ljudi s psihičkim bolestima, a posebno kod mladih ljudi s psihijatrijskim poremećajima, gdje zdravstveni djelatnici, čini se, lakše odustaju od njih nego prije, smatra.

Prije 23 godine - godine 2001. naime - Nizozemska je postala prva zemlja u svijetu koja je legalizirala eutanaziju. Od tada je broj ljudi koji sve češće odlučuju umrijeti u zapanjujućem porastu.

Počivali u miru.
