U Vrgorskoj krajini, dijelu Dalmatinske zagore koje je othranila i podigla koza, nikoga više ne zanima uzgoj te vrste stoke.

Pokazala je to mjera za potporu i očuvanje stočnog fonda za razdoblje od 2021. do 2023. godine koju je donio Grad Vrgorac u travnju prošle godine, a kako doznajemo, u godinu dana nitko se nije prijavio za dobivanje 5000 kuna po korisniku godišnje. Premda se nekima taj novac činio simboličan, usporedba iznosa s vremenima i okolnostima u kojima živimo, a pogotovo stočari, dovela bi do zaključka da je svaka kuna važna.

Osim niza dokumenata koje su trebali prikupiti, vlasnici OPG-ova morali su posjedovati ili kupiti minimalno pet životinja. Ne tako davno gotovo svaka kuća u Vrgorskoj krajini imala je kravu i po nekoliko koza, danas se broj goveda u 27 mjesnih odbora može nabrojiti na prste jedne ruke, dok je broj grla sitnog zuba pao na dvjestotinjak komada.

Kada se brojke usporede s razdobljem prije tridesetak godina, odnosno s početkom Domovinskog rata, stanje je porazno. Prema procjenama, na području tadašnje Općine Vrgorac broj koza se kretao od 4000 do 5000 grla.

U sklopu tadašnjeg poduzeća "Duhana" poslovale su dvije farme koza, jedna na Rebinim glavicama, a druga u Kokorićima, s oko 1100 grla. Međutim, nakon propasti tvrtke, nestale su i koze, a objekti su prodani i prenamijenjeni.

Koliko je koza važna za Vrgorsku krajinu i povijest ovog kraja, dovoljno govori da je i "Biklijada", najveća pučka fešta, posvećna kozi i lozi, životinji i biljci koje su othranile generacije Vrgorčana. Dok se vinova loza sačuvala, nažalost, koza izumire.

Posebno u selima uz polje, gdje se rijetko danas može sresti ova životinija, ljudi su se uglavnom opredjelili za neki drugi izvor egzistencije, poput vinogradarstva, voćarstva... Zašto više nitko ne želi uzgajati koze, pokušali smo saznati iz prve ruke, od 57- godišnjeg Ivice Medaka, koji je život u Makarskoj, nakon odlaska u mirovinu zamjenio uzgojom životinja u Kozičkim Poljicima, točnije u rodnom zaselku Medaci.

Pun entuzijazma krenuo je u težak i mukotrpan posao, jer treba se dizati u zoru, a posla ima sve do sumraka. No, njegovo prvotno oduševljenje pomalo je splasnulo, ne može se više boriti protiv - vukova.

- Od listopada prošle godine do danas zaklali su mi više od 30 komada, jednostavno protiv njih se nemoguće boriti. Ako pustite koze na ispašu, sigurno je da se sve one neće vratiti u staju. Zato ih više ne puštam vani.

U Hrvatskoj je najbolje uzgajati vukove, a ne koze. Vuk ima sve beneficije. Što se tiče ovih potpora? Pajdo, nitko mi nikad nije ništa pomogao, tako ni sad. Trebao bih biti pravnik, prikupljati svaki dan dokumente i "visiti" po općini, a za to nemam vremena, jer blago treba svaki dan jesti.

Težak je, prijatelju, moj život s kozama, zato se mladi ne odlučuju na to - kazao nam je Medak, koji je uputio apel nadležnima u državnim tijelima da zaštite preostale stočare u Zabiokovlju od napada vukova.

Martin Lendić je još 1994. godine posao kinooperatera u makarskom Centru za kulturu zamijenio uzgojem koza u rodnim Rašćanima. Nekad je imao stado od 120 grla, a danas se taj 75-godišnjak brine o četrdesetak koza koje drži u štali.

- Je li vi to mene zezate?! Pa, što će ljudi s 5000 kuna godišnjeg poticaja?

Vidi li itko koliko su poskupile cijene žitarica i bala sjena. Mladi ne žele u kozarstvo, jer odlaze raditi na Makarsko primorje ili vani, a mi malo stariji pomalo izumiremo.

I zato kozarstvo i koze nestaju, zbog toga mislim da je ta mjera samo simbolična. Najbolje možete vidjeti kako koza nestaje, da odete utorkom na stočni sajam u Zadvarje, pa gotovo da je nema, ne prodaje se - veli Lendić, koji kaže kako nikad nije požalio što je život uz more, zamjenio s onim s drugu stranu planine.

U Vrgorskoj krajini, dijelu Dalmatinske zagore koje je othranila i podigla koza, nikoga više ne zanima uzgoj te vrste stoke.

Pokazala je to mjera za potporu i očuvanje stočnog fonda za razdoblje od 2021. do 2023. godine koju je donio Grad Vrgorac u travnju prošle godine, a kako doznajemo, u godinu dana nitko se nije prijavio za dobivanje 5000 kuna po korisniku godišnje. Premda se nekima taj novac činio simboličan, usporedba iznosa s vremenima i okolnostima u kojima živimo, a pogotovo stočari, dovela bi do zaključka da je svaka kuna važna.

Osim niza dokumenata koje su trebali prikupiti, vlasnici OPG-ova morali su posjedovati ili kupiti minimalno pet životinja. Ne tako davno gotovo svaka kuća u Vrgorskoj krajini imala je kravu i po nekoliko koza, danas se broj goveda u 27 mjesnih odbora može nabrojiti na prste jedne ruke, dok je broj grla sitnog zuba pao na dvjestotinjak komada.

Kada se brojke usporede s razdobljem prije tridesetak godina, odnosno s početkom Domovinskog rata, stanje je porazno. Prema procjenama, na području tadašnje Općine Vrgorac broj koza se kretao od 4000 do 5000 grla.

U sklopu tadašnjeg poduzeća "Duhana" poslovale su dvije farme koza, jedna na Rebinim glavicama, a druga u Kokorićima, s oko 1100 grla. Međutim, nakon propasti tvrtke, nestale su i koze, a objekti su prodani i prenamijenjeni.

Koliko je koza važna za Vrgorsku krajinu i povijest ovog kraja, dovoljno govori da je i "Biklijada", najveća pučka fešta, posvećna kozi i lozi, životinji i biljci koje su othranile generacije Vrgorčana. Dok se vinova loza sačuvala, nažalost, koza izumire.

Posebno u selima uz polje, gdje se rijetko danas može sresti ova životinija, ljudi su se uglavnom opredjelili za neki drugi izvor egzistencije, poput vinogradarstva, voćarstva... Zašto više nitko ne želi uzgajati koze, pokušali smo saznati iz prve ruke, od 57- godišnjeg Ivice Medaka, koji je život u Makarskoj, nakon odlaska u mirovinu zamjenio uzgojom životinja u Kozičkim Poljicima, točnije u rodnom zaselku Medaci.

Pun entuzijazma krenuo je u težak i mukotrpan posao, jer treba se dizati u zoru, a posla ima sve do sumraka. No, njegovo prvotno oduševljenje pomalo je splasnulo, ne može se više boriti protiv - vukova.

- Od listopada prošle godine do danas zaklali su mi više od 30 komada, jednostavno protiv njih se nemoguće boriti. Ako pustite koze na ispašu, sigurno je da se sve one neće vratiti u staju. Zato ih više ne puštam vani.

U Hrvatskoj je najbolje uzgajati vukove, a ne koze. Vuk ima sve beneficije. Što se tiče ovih potpora? Pajdo, nitko mi nikad nije ništa pomogao, tako ni sad. Trebao bih biti pravnik, prikupljati svaki dan dokumente i "visiti" po općini, a za to nemam vremena, jer blago treba svaki dan jesti.

Težak je, prijatelju, moj život s kozama, zato se mladi ne odlučuju na to - kazao nam je Medak, koji je uputio apel nadležnima u državnim tijelima da zaštite preostale stočare u Zabiokovlju od napada vukova.

Martin Lendić je još 1994. godine posao kinooperatera u makarskom Centru za kulturu zamijenio uzgojem koza u rodnim Rašćanima. Nekad je imao stado od 120 grla, a danas se taj 75-godišnjak brine o četrdesetak koza koje drži u štali.

- Je li vi to mene zezate?! Pa, što će ljudi s 5000 kuna godišnjeg poticaja?

Vidi li itko koliko su poskupile cijene žitarica i bala sjena. Mladi ne žele u kozarstvo, jer odlaze raditi na Makarsko primorje ili vani, a mi malo stariji pomalo izumiremo.

I zato kozarstvo i koze nestaju, zbog toga mislim da je ta mjera samo simbolična. Najbolje možete vidjeti kako koza nestaje, da odete utorkom na stočni sajam u Zadvarje, pa gotovo da je nema, ne prodaje se - veli Lendić, koji kaže kako nikad nije požalio što je život uz more, zamjenio s onim s drugu stranu planine.
