Identificirano je prirodno rješenje protiv Xylella fastidiosa, jedne od bolesti koja najviše brine poljoprivrednike i smatra se jednom od najštetnijih fitopatogenih bakterija na svijetu. Ona izaziva ogromne ekonomske gubitke na velikom broju poljoprivrednih kultura, jer dovodi do njihovog uvneuća i potpunog propadanja. Posebice su ugrožene masline, vinova loza, citrusi, koštuničave voćne i ukrasne vrste.

Za većinu zemalja radi se o karantenskom uzročniku, ali i pored strogih mjera, ova bakterija se širi. Do sada je identificirano više od 300 njezinih domaćina.

Španolska tvrtka Lainco pronašla je, kako navode, učinkovito rješenje za što su dobili pravo na patent. Poslije pet godina rada razvojnog odjela u suradnji sa Centrom za inovacije i razvoj u zdravstvu bilja (CIDSAV), Sveučilišta u Gironi, razvili su prirodno zaštitno sredstvo za ovu bolest, prenosi Agroklub. 

S istraživanjem su započeli 2016. godine. Tada je testirano eterično ulje eukaliptusa i ono je postiglo odlične rezultate. To im je dalo ideju da stvore prirodno sredstvo koje je efikasno u suzbijanju ovog uzročnika, ali koje će djelovati protiv drugih bakterijskih bolesti. Dobri rezultati su postignuti u kontroli Pseudomonas syringae u kiviju i rajčici, Xanthomonas arboricola u koštuničavim voćkama, odnosno bademu i Erwinia amylovora u kruški.

U Europi je rizik od širenja ove bolesti vrlo velik, a prisutan je od 2013. godine. Prema studiji nizozemskog Sveučilišta Wageningen, španjolskog Instituta za održivu poljoprivredu

CSIC i Valencijskog instituta za agrarna istraživanja, baziranoj na bioekonomskom modelu, zaključeno je da bi nedostatak mjera kontrole širenje bolesti u sektoru maslinarstva značio ekonomske gubitke od milijardu eura u periodu od 50 godina. Procijenjena šteta u vinogradarskim područjima Kalifornije kreće se oko 104 milijuna dolara godišnje.

Ova je tvrtka u Španjolskoj sredstvo patentirala za upotrebu kao baktericid, a globalno korištenje, navode, bit će prošireno tijekom narednih mjeseci. Proces registracije i odobrenja u SAD i Europskoj uniji počinje u 2022. godini, dok su u nekim zemljama Latinske Amerike ti procesi već započeli.

Smatra se da je u južnoj talijanskoj regiji Puglia prijetnja od ove bakterije potcijenjena.

"Što se tiče Xylella fastidiosa, još uvijek postoji ogromno potcjenjivanje problema. Očigledno je da ne želimo shvatiti dimenzije ekonomske i socijalne štete koju taj fenomen proizvodi", stoji u zajedničkoj izjavi predsjednika saveza poljoprivrednih udruga.

U toj regiji upozoravaju farmere na neefikasne lijekove, a od kada se bolest pojavila, uzrokovala je propadanje i uništavanje tisuća maslinika, oko 150.000 hektara. Problem su dodatno otežali tradicionalni načini uzgoja u gustoj sadnji i prisutnost štetnika Philaenus spumarius koji se hrani ksilemskim sokom i glavni je prenositelj uzročnika u tom području. Također, posljedično je otpušten veliki broj radnika koji je bio zaposlen u ovom sektoru.

Identificirano je prirodno rješenje protiv Xylella fastidiosa, jedne od bolesti koja najviše brine poljoprivrednike i smatra se jednom od najštetnijih fitopatogenih bakterija na svijetu. Ona izaziva ogromne ekonomske gubitke na velikom broju poljoprivrednih kultura, jer dovodi do njihovog uvneuća i potpunog propadanja. Posebice su ugrožene masline, vinova loza, citrusi, koštuničave voćne i ukrasne vrste.

Za većinu zemalja radi se o karantenskom uzročniku, ali i pored strogih mjera, ova bakterija se širi. Do sada je identificirano više od 300 njezinih domaćina.

Španolska tvrtka Lainco pronašla je, kako navode, učinkovito rješenje za što su dobili pravo na patent. Poslije pet godina rada razvojnog odjela u suradnji sa Centrom za inovacije i razvoj u zdravstvu bilja (CIDSAV), Sveučilišta u Gironi, razvili su prirodno zaštitno sredstvo za ovu bolest, prenosi Agroklub. 

S istraživanjem su započeli 2016. godine. Tada je testirano eterično ulje eukaliptusa i ono je postiglo odlične rezultate. To im je dalo ideju da stvore prirodno sredstvo koje je efikasno u suzbijanju ovog uzročnika, ali koje će djelovati protiv drugih bakterijskih bolesti. Dobri rezultati su postignuti u kontroli Pseudomonas syringae u kiviju i rajčici, Xanthomonas arboricola u koštuničavim voćkama, odnosno bademu i Erwinia amylovora u kruški.

U Europi je rizik od širenja ove bolesti vrlo velik, a prisutan je od 2013. godine. Prema studiji nizozemskog Sveučilišta Wageningen, španjolskog Instituta za održivu poljoprivredu

CSIC i Valencijskog instituta za agrarna istraživanja, baziranoj na bioekonomskom modelu, zaključeno je da bi nedostatak mjera kontrole širenje bolesti u sektoru maslinarstva značio ekonomske gubitke od milijardu eura u periodu od 50 godina. Procijenjena šteta u vinogradarskim područjima Kalifornije kreće se oko 104 milijuna dolara godišnje.

Ova je tvrtka u Španjolskoj sredstvo patentirala za upotrebu kao baktericid, a globalno korištenje, navode, bit će prošireno tijekom narednih mjeseci. Proces registracije i odobrenja u SAD i Europskoj uniji počinje u 2022. godini, dok su u nekim zemljama Latinske Amerike ti procesi već započeli.

Smatra se da je u južnoj talijanskoj regiji Puglia prijetnja od ove bakterije potcijenjena.

"Što se tiče Xylella fastidiosa, još uvijek postoji ogromno potcjenjivanje problema. Očigledno je da ne želimo shvatiti dimenzije ekonomske i socijalne štete koju taj fenomen proizvodi", stoji u zajedničkoj izjavi predsjednika saveza poljoprivrednih udruga.

U toj regiji upozoravaju farmere na neefikasne lijekove, a od kada se bolest pojavila, uzrokovala je propadanje i uništavanje tisuća maslinika, oko 150.000 hektara. Problem su dodatno otežali tradicionalni načini uzgoja u gustoj sadnji i prisutnost štetnika Philaenus spumarius koji se hrani ksilemskim sokom i glavni je prenositelj uzročnika u tom području. Također, posljedično je otpušten veliki broj radnika koji je bio zaposlen u ovom sektoru.

Identificirano je prirodno rješenje protiv Xylella fastidiosa, jedne od bolesti koja najviše brine poljoprivrednike i smatra se jednom od najštetnijih fitopatogenih bakterija na svijetu. Ona izaziva ogromne ekonomske gubitke na velikom broju poljoprivrednih kultura, jer dovodi do njihovog uvneuća i potpunog propadanja. Posebice su ugrožene masline, vinova loza, citrusi, koštuničave voćne i ukrasne vrste.

Za većinu zemalja radi se o karantenskom uzročniku, ali i pored strogih mjera, ova bakterija se širi. Do sada je identificirano više od 300 njezinih domaćina.

Španolska tvrtka Lainco pronašla je, kako navode, učinkovito rješenje za što su dobili pravo na patent.
