Invazivnog rebraša Mnemiopsis leidyi u našem moru prvi put se zabilježilo 2005. godine. Najvjerojatnije je došao balastnim vodama. Od tad se prilagodio na naše podneblje, pa se ljeti često u površinskim vodama sjevernog Jadrana viđaju guste skupine ovih planktonskih želatinoznih životinja.

Činjenica da se isti rebraš ranije pojavio u Crnom moru gdje je 80-ih godina povezivan s problemima u lokalnom ribarstvu inćuna, ujedno i iznimno važnog ekonomskog resursa Republike Hrvatske, nametnula je pitanje može li se sličan scenarij dogoditi i u Jadranu, objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo u Splitu na svojoj Facebook stranici.

U posebnom izdanju časopisa #Mediterranean_marine_science, udružene snage hrvatskih znanstvenika iz IRB Centar za istraživanje mora, Rovinj - Rovigno, Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, PMF Geološki odsjek - Department of Geology, Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Sveuciliste Jurja Dobrile Pula i našeg instituta, u znanstvenom radu (Budiša et al. 2021) objavile su rezultate praćenja pojavnosti i distribucije ovih dviju vrsta u razdoblju od 2016. do 2019. godine.

Zapaženo je da je na području i u vremenu eksplozije populacije M. leidyi, brojnost inćuna značajno manja nego ranijih godina.

To je pripisano kompeticiji za resurse, naime, do pojave ovog invazivnog organizma, naselja sićušnog životinjskog planktona sjevernog Jadrana tradicionalno su bila izvor hrane inćunima. Novonastalo suparništvo najvjerojatnije je natjeralo gladne ribe na selidbu.

Dodatno zapažanje koje ide u korist ovoj pretpostavci je da u želucima jadranskih M. leidyi, za razliku od onih crnomorskih, nije pronađen trag ličinki i jaja inćuna, zbog čega se da zaključiti da utjecaj koji ovaj rebraš potencijalno ima, nije direktan.

Međutim i dalje treba biti na oprezu. Kako bi bolje razumjeli kako se ove promjene odražavaju na ukupni stok inćuna, važne gospodarske vrste, ali i na ekosustav Jadranskog mora, važno je da znanstvenici nastave pratiti utjecaj ove i drugih invazivnih vrsta na Jadransko more.

Invazivnog rebraša Mnemiopsis leidyi u našem moru prvi put se zabilježilo 2005. godine. Najvjerojatnije je došao balastnim vodama. Od tad se prilagodio na naše podneblje, pa se ljeti često u površinskim vodama sjevernog Jadrana viđaju guste skupine ovih planktonskih želatinoznih životinja.

Činjenica da se isti rebraš ranije pojavio u Crnom moru gdje je 80-ih godina povezivan s problemima u lokalnom ribarstvu inćuna, ujedno i iznimno važnog ekonomskog resursa Republike Hrvatske, nametnula je pitanje može li se sličan scenarij dogoditi i u Jadranu, objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo u Splitu na svojoj Facebook stranici.

U posebnom izdanju časopisa #Mediterranean_marine_science, udružene snage hrvatskih znanstvenika iz IRB Centar za istraživanje mora, Rovinj - Rovigno, Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, PMF Geološki odsjek - Department of Geology, Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Sveuciliste Jurja Dobrile Pula i našeg instituta, u znanstvenom radu (Budiša et al. 2021) objavile su rezultate praćenja pojavnosti i distribucije ovih dviju vrsta u razdoblju od 2016. do 2019. godine.

Zapaženo je da je na području i u vremenu eksplozije populacije M. leidyi, brojnost inćuna značajno manja nego ranijih godina.

To je pripisano kompeticiji za resurse, naime, do pojave ovog invazivnog organizma, naselja sićušnog životinjskog planktona sjevernog Jadrana tradicionalno su bila izvor hrane inćunima. Novonastalo suparništvo najvjerojatnije je natjeralo gladne ribe na selidbu.

Dodatno zapažanje koje ide u korist ovoj pretpostavci je da u želucima jadranskih M. leidyi, za razliku od onih crnomorskih, nije pronađen trag ličinki i jaja inćuna, zbog čega se da zaključiti da utjecaj koji ovaj rebraš potencijalno ima, nije direktan.

Međutim i dalje treba biti na oprezu. Kako bi bolje razumjeli kako se ove promjene odražavaju na ukupni stok inćuna, važne gospodarske vrste, ali i na ekosustav Jadranskog mora, važno je da znanstvenici nastave pratiti utjecaj ove i drugih invazivnih vrsta na Jadransko more.

eksplozija populacijeUtječe li pojava invazivnog rebraša na jadranske inćune? Objavljeni rezultati praćenja tih dviju vrsta u razdoblju od 2016. do 2019. godine

Invazivnog rebraša Mnemiopsis leidyi u našem moru prvi put se zabilježilo 2005. godine. Najvjerojatnije je došao balastnim vodama. Od tad se prilagodio na naše podneblje, pa se ljeti često u površinskim vodama sjevernog Jadrana viđaju guste skupine ovih planktonskih želatinoznih životinja.

Činjenica da se isti rebraš ranije pojavio u Crnom moru gdje je 80-ih godina povezivan s problemima u lokalnom ribarstvu inćuna, ujedno i iznimno važnog ekonomskog resursa Republike Hrvatske, nametnula je pitanje može li se sličan scenarij dogoditi i u Jadranu, objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo u Splitu na svojoj Facebook stranici.

U posebnom izdanju časopisa #Mediterranean_marine_science, udružene snage hrvatskih znanstvenika iz IRB Centar za istraživanje mora, Rovinj - Rovigno, Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, PMF Geološki odsjek - Department of Geology, Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Sveuciliste Jurja Dobrile Pula i našeg instituta, u znanstvenom radu (Budiša et al. 2021) objavile su rezultate praćenja pojavnosti i distribucije ovih dviju vrsta u razdoblju od 2016. do 2019. godine.

Zapaženo je da je na području i u vremenu eksplozije populacije M. leidyi, brojnost inćuna značajno manja nego ranijih godina.

To je pripisano kompeticiji za resurse, naime, do pojave ovog invazivnog organizma, naselja sićušnog životinjskog planktona sjevernog Jadrana tradicionalno su bila izvor hrane inćunima. Novonastalo suparništvo najvjerojatnije je natjeralo gladne ribe na selidbu.

Dodatno zapažanje koje ide u korist ovoj pretpostavci je da u želucima jadranskih M. leidyi, za razliku od onih crnomorskih, nije pronađen trag ličinki i jaja inćuna, zbog čega se da zaključiti da utjecaj koji ovaj rebraš potencijalno ima, nije direktan.

Međutim i dalje treba biti na oprezu. Kako bi bolje razumjeli kako se ove promjene odražavaju na ukupni stok inćuna, važne gospodarske vrste, ali i na ekosustav Jadranskog mora, važno je da znanstvenici nastave pratiti utjecaj ove i drugih invazivnih vrsta na Jadransko more.
