Sad je i službeno - DUTV je ugašena. Naši kolege, njih 11, stalo je pred kameru i objavilo kraj. Sjetite se da su to naši sugrađani, jednako ljudi kao oni u bolnici, butizi, bilo gdje... Trebaju platiti struju, djeci vrtić... I što god o novinarima mislili - a nekako me strah da znam što mislite - uvjeravam vas da su se trudili. Da su svoj posao radili srcem. Istim onim kojim se piše i ovaj tekst.

Naime, dok su oni objavljivali vijest o gašenju DUTV-a, ja sam u mislima bio s Draganom Banovićem. Vidio sam ga negdje gore među anđelima kako govori - Stari, to je sve u kurcu... Sjetio sam se s kojim mi je veseljem pričao o tom projektu, opremi koja mu uskoro stiže i kako ju je nabavio. Jer taj je znao nabaviti i ono što ne postoji. Dragan Banović je bio istinska ljudina, duša od čovjeka i jednako veliki zaljubljenik u televiziju.

To što je kruh zarađivao snimajući za Reuters, za APTV i druge svjetske TV kuće je sasvim nevažno, nego to spominjem da bi onima koji ga ne poznaju približio da se nije radio samo o entuzijazmu, nego i o poznavanju struke. Istina, ja sam ga od tog projekta odgovarao, postavio mu sto i jedno pitanje. Ali on je na svako imao odgovor. Vjerovao sam mu jer u tom svijetu boljeg nije bilo. Zajedno smo prošli neke kvrgave novinarske terene i znao sam da će to biti dobra priča.

Na žalost, Dragana je odnijela podmukla bolest, ali da ta televizija nije imala šansu, ne bi živjela 18 godina. Istina, sve te radio i tv postaje dobiju neki “zubić” od rtv pretplate, fondova za pluralizam medija, ali sve je to kikiriki za enormne troškove proizvodnje i emitiranja televizijskog programa. Možete o medijima misliti, kažem, što god hoćete, ali svi smo mi u potpunosti na tržištu. U gradu i županiji gdje se skoro sve vrti oko turizma, gdje je sve - od betule i butige, do hotela - okrenuto stranim turistima. U vrijeme u kojem se ljudi sve manje informiraju, a sve više zabavljaju istinama o tome kako je zemlja ravna ploča koju zaprašuju avioni. I sve to rade bogati da bi pobili sirotinju koja za njih radi.

U takvom vremenu, na takvom prostoru preživjeti 18 godina, doprijeti do publike, ponuditi im vijesti i priče koje će pročitati ili pogledati, iako medijskim svijetom kruže puno ljepše sise i guzice, puno veće nesreće i tragedije, ratovi, festivali... što god netko smatrao velikom i važnom informacijom.

Na kraju dana ipak vrijedi pravilo da zanimljivost vijesti raste brojem mrtvih ali opada kvadratom udaljenosti. Da je ljudima važniji slomljeni žmigavac u Gružu, nego sto mrtvih u Džibutiju. Važnija im je puknuta cijev na Batali, nego poplava u Bombaju.

Eto zašto su novinari i neki lokalni mediji još za života dobili Nagradu Grada Dubrovnika, a naše istinske veličine u toj branši - Antun Masle i Dragan Banović - nisu ni posmrtno. Bili su preveliki za takvo priznanje. Imajući sudbinu naših kolega u DUTV-u, nekako mi se čini da je najveća nagrada raditi u mediju koji dogodine slavi svoj 75. rođendan.

Sad je i službeno - DUTV je ugašena. Naši kolege, njih 11, stalo je pred kameru i objavilo kraj. Sjetite se da su to naši sugrađani, jednako ljudi kao oni u bolnici, butizi, bilo gdje... Trebaju platiti struju, djeci vrtić... I što god o novinarima mislili - a nekako me strah da znam što mislite - uvjeravam vas da su se trudili. Da su svoj posao radili srcem. Istim onim kojim se piše i ovaj tekst.

Naime, dok su oni objavljivali vijest o gašenju DUTV-a, ja sam u mislima bio s Draganom Banovićem. Vidio sam ga negdje gore među anđelima kako govori - Stari, to je sve u kurcu... Sjetio sam se s kojim mi je veseljem pričao o tom projektu, opremi koja mu uskoro stiže i kako ju je nabavio. Jer taj je znao nabaviti i ono što ne postoji. Dragan Banović je bio istinska ljudina, duša od čovjeka i jednako veliki zaljubljenik u televiziju.

To što je kruh zarađivao snimajući za Reuters, za APTV i druge svjetske TV kuće je sasvim nevažno, nego to spominjem da bi onima koji ga ne poznaju približio da se nije radio samo o entuzijazmu, nego i o poznavanju struke. Istina, ja sam ga od tog projekta odgovarao, postavio mu sto i jedno pitanje. Ali on je na svako imao odgovor. Vjerovao sam mu jer u tom svijetu boljeg nije bilo. Zajedno smo prošli neke kvrgave novinarske terene i znao sam da će to biti dobra priča.

Na žalost, Dragana je odnijela podmukla bolest, ali da ta televizija nije imala šansu, ne bi živjela 18 godina. Istina, sve te radio i tv postaje dobiju neki “zubić” od rtv pretplate, fondova za pluralizam medija, ali sve je to kikiriki za enormne troškove proizvodnje i emitiranja televizijskog programa. Možete o medijima misliti, kažem, što god hoćete, ali svi smo mi u potpunosti na tržištu. U gradu i županiji gdje se skoro sve vrti oko turizma, gdje je sve - od betule i butige, do hotela - okrenuto stranim turistima. U vrijeme u kojem se ljudi sve manje informiraju, a sve više zabavljaju istinama o tome kako je zemlja ravna ploča koju zaprašuju avioni. I sve to rade bogati da bi pobili sirotinju koja za njih radi.

U takvom vremenu, na takvom prostoru preživjeti 18 godina, doprijeti do publike, ponuditi im vijesti i priče koje će pročitati ili pogledati, iako medijskim svijetom kruže puno ljepše sise i guzice, puno veće nesreće i tragedije, ratovi, festivali... što god netko smatrao velikom i važnom informacijom.

Na kraju dana ipak vrijedi pravilo da zanimljivost vijesti raste brojem mrtvih ali opada kvadratom udaljenosti. Da je ljudima važniji slomljeni žmigavac u Gružu, nego sto mrtvih u Džibutiju. Važnija im je puknuta cijev na Batali, nego poplava u Bombaju.

Eto zašto su novinari i neki lokalni mediji još za života dobili Nagradu Grada Dubrovnika, a naše istinske veličine u toj branši - Antun Masle i Dragan Banović - nisu ni posmrtno. Bili su preveliki za takvo priznanje. Imajući sudbinu naših kolega u DUTV-u, nekako mi se čini da je najveća nagrada raditi u mediju koji dogodine slavi svoj 75. rođendan.

Sad je i službeno - DUTV je ugašena. Naši kolege, njih 11, stalo je pred kameru i objavilo kraj. Sjetite se da su to naši sugrađani, jednako ljudi kao oni u bolnici, butizi, bilo gdje... Trebaju platiti struju, djeci vrtić... I što god o novinarima mislili - a nekako me strah da znam što mislite - uvjeravam vas da su se trudili. Da su svoj posao radili srcem. Istim onim kojim se piše i ovaj tekst.

Naime, dok su oni objavljivali vijest o gašenju DUTV-a, ja sam u mislima bio s Draganom Banovićem. Vidio sam ga negdje gore među anđelima kako govori - Stari, to je sve u kurcu...
